"Mostly fine, but the parking lot was annoying"
The park itself felt safe and decent overall, but the parking lot was way too dark, which made me feel a little unsure leaving. Not a huge deal, but definitely annoying and something they should improve

"Way faster help than I expected"
I had a question about my reservation and they got back to me quickly. compared to a lot of places where you wait forever and get some copy-paste answer, this was way better. The person was friendly and actually answered what I asked, which made the whole situation a lot less stressful.

"Nice site for browsing park spots"
I used South Carolina Parks to look around at a few places, the scenery looks really nice. Lots of lake views and forest areas that made me want to plan a trip. The site was easy to use, though I do wish some of the photos loaded a little faster... but overall, it was a good experience.

I used southcarolinaparks.com to book a campsite, and it went about how I expected. I usually trust official park sites more than third-party ones anyway, so getting the confirmation email right away kind of reinforced that for me. The site was a little slow while I was checking dates, and I did have to refresh once, which was annoying. But when I called the park, my reservation was there, so overall I’d say it was reliable enough and I’d use it again.

I tried booking a campsite on South Carolina Parks it was more frustrating than it needed to be. The pages were loading really slowly for me, and I kept having to go back just to double-check dates. The map and campsite details also weren’t very clear, so half the time I wasn’t totally sure what I was choosing. A couple of times my cart seemed to reset too, which felt unfair after spending time picking everything out. I did eventually get my reservation, but it took way longer than it should have. For a public parks site, they really ought to make the process easier and more reliable.

Yeah, so... the trails were really muddy when I went, which I kind of expected a little, but it was more than I thought. The bigger issue was the signs, honestly. They were missing in a bunch of spots, so I kept having to stop and figure out if I was still going the right way. Not the worst experience, but definitely a bit frustrating.

We stayed at one of the parks and the restrooms were usable, but they definitely weren’t the cleanest. The showers had some hair and dirt in the corners, like they just needed to be checked on a little more often. Nothing awful or enough to ruin the stay, just kind of what you’d expect at a busy campground, maybe...

The park itself was really and we still enjoyed walking around, but the bathrooms and picnic area could’ve used a lot more attention because the trash cans were already full when we got there, there was some litter along the trails, and while it wasn’t awful or anything, it just kind of felt like the place could be kept up a little better for people visiting...

Stayed at one of the SC parks last weekend and I was happy with how clean everything was. The bathrooms had paper and soap, the trash wasn’t overflowing, and the campsite actually looked like someone had been keeping up with it. You’d think that would be standard everywhere, but apparently not. It really makes a difference when the basic stuff is handled.

"Ended up being a great buy"
I was kind of on the fence at first and spent way too much time comparing it with a few other options. It arrived, I started using it, and didn’t think too much about it right away. But after a little while, I realized I was reaching for it constantly and it’s held up really well. So yeah, after actually living with it for a bit, I’d say it was worth every penny.

"Quiet stay and honestly better than I expected"
I booked through southcarolinaparks.com and stayed in one of the state park cabins. I’ll admit I was a little nervous at first because I always worry about getting fooled by nice-looking listings or places that sound peaceful but end up being noisy. Thankfully, this was exactly what I hoped for.

The nights were super quiet, with no loud music or traffic, just bugs and the wind. Even during the day it was calm, mostly families and people walking around. I slept really well both nights and left feeling like it was an easy 5 stars

I felt a little misled by what I expected going in, because I didn’t realize the sites would be this spread out and private. It ended up being really quiet and not crowded at all, which I loved. Way more peaceful than I thought it would be

Booking was straightforward, and we did end up having a good time. That said, the parks we chose were way more crowded than I expected, which made it feel like we didn’t quite get the value I was hoping for. I’m careful about what I spend on trips like this, so I wish the crowd info had been more obvious before booking. Still a nice experience overall, just something I’d want to know ahead of time next time

"Pretty easy to get around"
I checked southcarolinaparks.com before we headed out, mostly so I wouldn’t be the person standing in the parking lot squinting at a map while everyone else waited. The nice thing was that the signs once we got to the park actually matched what I’d seen online. Trails, parking, restrooms, all of it was straightforward. I barely had to pull out my phone, which was great because I was trying to save battery for pictures and also because I somehow always get distracted by random bird sounds. Overall, it made the visit a lot less stressful and way easier to enjoy.

My first impression was that the site was straightforward for looking up parks, and it does get the job done. But once I started checking the details, the amenity info wasn’t always as clear as I expected. I had to click around a bit to figure out whether things like cabins, hookups, or showers were available. It worked out in the end, but it wasn’t the smoothest experience. Overall, it’s fine, just could be easier to use

"Helpful for planning with kids, even if I got a little lost"
We used southcarolinaparks.com while trying to figure out a quick weekend trip with the kids, and overall it did the job. I was mainly looking for cabins, but then I’d end up checking trail info, then activities, then back to cabins again, which is kind of how my brain works anyway. Most of the info was there, but some pages made me click around more than I expected, and a few things weren’t super obvious right away. Still, we were able to pick a good spot for our family, so I’d say it’s useful, just not totally seamless.
